Beautiful hike on the adret side of the Pic du Queyrel to the Viallet pass. At the pass, a panorama of the Champsaur and the valley of Molines en Champsaur.

 

Itinerary :

 

From Chaillol take the forest road on the right.

At the first crossroads, leave the forest road of Les Cabanes to go up the Lausières piste on the left. After passing under a chairlift (car park), turn right onto a very good path which rises steadily in a larch forest.

After the Col de la Pisse junction, then the Lac de Barbeyroux junction, the path leaves the forest (2100m). The landscape then changes completely, and we can discover 20 to 30 metre high sandstone towers along the path.

After a traverse, we reach the Viallet pass (2240m).

From the col du Viallet a more demanding path will lead you to the Pic Queyrel through a small canyon at the start and on the ridge afterwards (1 hour).
